A '''dice bag''' or '''dice pounch''' is simply a container for carrying dice. One classic dice bag is the velvety Crown Royal bag, while many games sell official dice bags promoting their product line. Some "dice bags" are actually dice chests, dice boxes, and the like.

A dice bag or dice pouch is a soft container for carrying dice, both for protection and ease of transport. Dice bags are made of fabric, often something like velvet, and closed with a draw string or clasp. Dice chests and dice boxes are for the same purpose, but made of a solid material such as wood or plastic. They may offer more protection for the dice, but be heavier and bulkier.

Dice bags may be designed to carry dice (many game publishers sell their own branded dice bags, and they are easily crafted and readily available online) or repurposed from other sources (such as the velvety bag used to hold bottles of Crown Royal whisky, see the image to the right).
