Hi PlatonicSolid. I think it would be a good idea to not make any more blank pages for RPG Museum. I think they turn people off editing here more than they make the wiki seem like it's a vibrant, growing community. A friend of mine advertised the wiki on reddit last week (you may have noticed the sudden uptick in views and edits), and one of the immediate responses was that the wiki looks incomplete and uninviting because it has a lot of blank pages. (We have hundreds of them, as you can see at Special:ShortPages.)
I don't think pages need to be long to be worthwhile, just a sentence or two is enough (like the Drama Deck page you wrote earlier today). But a page with nothing but some categories is (to my mind) worse than not having a page. Even a link (e.g. to Wikipedia) would be better. Or, going one better, take your Mouse Guard page from earlier. There was an existing page on Wikipedia, so (because its information is released under the same license as RPG Museum) I was able to just Export the page from wikipedia (using https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Export) and then import it here (using Special:Import), with some minor tweaks to make it fit. There's so much on Wikipedia we could be making use of here, and we're just allowed to import them or copy paste them.
It's up to you, but maybe it's something to think about?
Hi again. Sorry for a second message in a single day, but something weird is going on with the page that I wrote on Twitter (that's [[Twitter]], except the link isn't showing up properly). Where the link to that page should be (not only here but also on certain special pages, like Special:Recentchanges and Special:Withoutimages), there's just a blank space. I don't know why and I can't fix it. My only guess is that Fandom thinks Twitter can be a sign of spam and it's waiting for an admin (other than the page creator, me) to review or patrol the page. Could you please check if that's the case? I honestly have no idea how to fix it if not.
Hi. I've had a go at setting up a main page for RPG Museum on mobile, based on the category icons currently on the main main page. It's rudimentary, but that's normal for Fandom wiki mobile main pages, for some reason. You can check it out on a mobile phone, and edit by clicking on 'Edit mobile main page' in the drop-down menu next to the edit button on the main page. (I'm flagging this up because apparently this doesn't appear in recent changes or anything.)
Hi PlatonicSolid, thanks for the admin rights! As my first act, I've turned on the Message Walls feature and sent you this message. The wiki software should be better at tracking talk page discussions in this format, and better at notifying participants of updates (hopefully even if it's not being held on their wall). All of our old discussions do still exist at Message Wall:PlatonicSolid/User talk archive, though.
