Middle-earth Role Playing (MERP) is a fantasy role-playing game based on the works of J.R.R. Tolkien and set in Middle-Earth. It was first published in 1984 by Iron Crown Enterprises. MERP uses a streamlined version of the generic fantasy RPG Rolemaster.
