A player character, or PC, is a character who is controlled by or associated with a specific (non-GM) player in a role-playing game. The player makes decisions for that character and defines their personality. In most games, they are also responsible for choosing and managing the player character's traits, which are recorded on a character sheet.

When a player experiences either immersion in the game world of a role-playing game or bleed, it is usually from the point of view of their player character.
